Until now, rogallo-type parachutes were heavy, bulky, and their glide from the opening limited, in our opinion, their interest for cross-country use (risk of severe mirror effect, risk of orientation towards an obstacle if the pilot does not immediately manage his rescue).

Launch and handling

The Krisis Rogallo II is launched as for a classic rescue (shooting and throwing). It moves progressively horizontally then allows itself to be steered using the two brake controls, even when the paraglider is still attached: thanks to the reduced horizontal speed, the paraglider is relieved sufficiently to be able to neutralize it at the B of a hand. The other hand is then used to direct the rescue. Pilots equipped with a paraglider release system can take full advantage of the qualities of the Krisis Rogallo II: the glide ratio is doubled for a slightly higher sink rate.
